The English-language communication platform is divided into a PUBLIC area and a RESTRICTED area. The restricted area (discussion fora, database of experts, document management system, expert e-mail system, internal information area) is reserved exclusively for registered experts from European OSH institutions involved in standardization, testing, certification, and/or related research (see Rules of Procedure). New experts can apply for registration online (Login / Registration) and will then be provided with their personal access data. Experts who do not meet the admission criteria for the restricted area are invited to discuss in the public area of EUROSHNET. The fora in the public area are freely accessible to everyone.
Public Area
The public area of EUROSHNET contains general information on the network and gives an overview of the topics discussed in the restricted area. In addition the public area offers a forum where varying subjects can be discussed. The forum is freely accessible to everyone. Registration is however required in order to be able to make a contribution to the discussion.
Restricted Area
The restricted area offers a number of Discussion Fora for various subjects. Participants may register for any fora of interest to them and express their opinions online. They are informed by e-mail of any new entries in the fora for which they have registered.
The Notice Board acts as a general forum with no limits regarding the topics discussed. It gives you the opportunity to introduce new topics that are not yet covered by existing fora. The Notice Board should also be used for general enquiries.
The restricted area also features a Database of Experts containing, for each individual, the name, institution, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, fields of expertise and the membership of standardization committees.
Another part of the restricted area comprises a Document Management System which provides access to documents not available to the general public, such as draft position statements of OSH parties on European standards.
In order to communicate efficiently with other experts, an E-mail System allows users to freely select groups of experts from the EUROSHNET database and to address highly specific target groups on OSH items.
